Rise of the dawnbringer

Book one

AN ANCIENT DARKNESS.

A LAND UNRAVELED.

THE THREADS OF FATE TORN ASUNDER.

The first book in I. A. Takerian’s high-fantasy series is a slow-burn romance that surpasses the bounds of time.

After living her entire life behind the white walls of the illustrious kingdom of Delinval, Princess Mara, niece of the great King Grathiel, understands what is expected of her. As her uncle’s only heir to the throne, she was raised to be a noble woman with a full understanding of the history of the lands of Zenafrost and the fallen kingdoms that lay beyond Delinval’s protected borders. But the political intrigue and endless theatrics that come with her birth-right have never suited her. Though she loves her people, Mara loathes the future her uncle has planned for her, and the approach of her twenty-first birthday brings with it a whole new horror: the expectation that she will marry a man of the king’s choosing. Mara believes this is the worst thing that could ever happen to her.

She’s wrong.

In the early morning hours before her birthday, she’s awakened by a living nightmare. A group of Dreads, the immortal dark magick users vanquished by King Grathiel twenty years before, have infiltrated the castle, and Mara is kidnapped from her own bed by a tall, dark stranger with dire motives. For the first time in her life, the princess finds herself outside the guarded walls of Delinval and witnessing, firsthand, the destruction the Dread’s corruptive magicks have wrought upon the land. The world is dying. Horrifying creatures stalk the barren plains and tainted forests. Foul rulers, defiled by diabolical magicks, vie for control. A mysterious ritual involving Mara herself seems to be Zenafrost’s only hope for survival. But when hidden truths about the past burns Mara’s life to the ground, can she somehow find victory in the ashes?

The lost tomes of zenafrost

volume one

In the Seventh Era, during the events of the Druidic Wars, many ancient artifacts were unearthed by the explosion of battle. Among these was the Library of the Eldest.

Previously thought lost to time, the library contained innumerous texts and tomes dating all the way back to the very birth of Zenafrost. Many of these are still in the process of refurbishment, but a select few have been deciphered and transcribed into the following pages.

VEILED SECRETS.

DEADLY SHADOWS.

THE LAST WHISPERS OF DESTINY.

The second book in I. A. Takerian’s high-fantasy series takes us on a perilous journey through The Trials, readying our War Party to fight for the fates of all.

The world of Zenafrost is burning. Darkness has overtaken the lands, corrupting everything it touches. After discovering the truth of her birth, Mara ─ Princess of Delinval, daughter of the Dread Queen, prophesied bringer of the dawn ─ has no time to sift through the rubble of her former life. Not with the salvation of the world resting upon her shoulders.

By sheer luck and the help of her allies, Mara has somehow managed to survive the first Trial of the Odelians. Now, as she moves into the dangers of the Trials to come, she must stand beside warriors with centuries of training and skill in powerful magicks. But with Cyfrin, Kain, Milios and El to guide her, she remains determined to prove herself worthy to fight among them. Evil, however, refuses to wait until the Dawnbringer is prepared for battle. Shadows loom ever closer to the Forgotten Wood, and death rides in on swift wings. When nightmares become reality, Mara’s confidence falters.

Is she truly fit to lead the charge into the dawn?

BLOOD-STAINED KNOWLEDGE.

SHATTERED CURSES.

THE LONG-FORGOTTEN TRUTH.

The third book in I. A. Takerian’s high-fantasy series brings us to the edge of the abyss, staring into the eyes of the End.

Yvaine has taken her place as Queen of the Odelians, promising to lead the charge in the coming war. They’ve barely scratched the surface of her magick, and time has run out. The darkness inches through the Forgotten Wood, promising to sap the last bit of life from Zenafrost. Yvaine has no choice: The War Party must set out on a desperate quest through the Forests of Galion, following the rumor of a legend. Braving the druids of old, a long-warded curse, and the depths of an ancient library, they search for any means to defeat the forces of the Deceiver.

But the aftermath of their clash with Delinval looms overhead. The factions of Zenafrost move against the Odelians, twisted by dark whispers and unspoken evils. Bound to the destiny of every and all, Yvaine races against the crumbling Dark Gate.

Will she find the power she needs before their fates are sealed?
